Abstract

The problem of corruption has been studied from very different fields. Political science, economics, sociology and anthropology are disciplines that have dealt with its analysis. In this paper I intend to address the issue of “deformations” of language to refer to acts of corruption, proposing an analysis of it with the help of some psychoanalytic and structural linguistic concepts. The idea I want to expose is that corruption begins with language because of its equivocal and multivocal nature. In this sense, in this work I try to analyze a phenomenon that deteriorates social life, seriously affects institutional life and therefore, it is urgent to analyze in an interdisciplinary way.
