La institución desde la mirada psicoanalítica
Abstract
Is a psychoanalytic perspective adequate for the comprehension of institutional phenomena? Considering the fact that institutions are part of cultural, social, political, economic and other social processes and also that they have their own perspectives (for example in the provision of services, education, etc.): Can a psychoanalytic perspective offer a means for understanding the institution? Indeed, we believe that psychoanalytic concepts have made possible an understanding of the symbolic and imaginary dimensions of institutions. They also help as means to think through and arrive at an understanding of singular subjectivity (self) and its' interplay in such spaces and die way a collective subjectivity comes into being. These are what Kaes defines as a network of subjectivities. But we propose that it is valid to speak of a collective subjectivity. It is not a matter of epistemological! prudishness, but rather the communication of what we have been able to live and observe in collectives. Does not a network allude to a hive or other collective? The objective is an open perspective based on contributions by several authors and also on a series of institutional interventions. Each was implemented through group and institutional actions by which unconscious collective representations were explored. These become established within institutions and can have alienating consequences.
