Habitar en un mundo más que humano: oportunidades e impedimentos de los jóvenes en el cuidado del planeta

Abstract

This article reflects on the problems faced by young people in mobilizing to care for the planet. Research was carried out with university students in which factors were identified that prevent them from committing to environmental care, analyzing the way in which news about the environmental crisis is transmitted, which generates adverse emotions and reactions, limiting mobilization. The analysis suggests three key axes to change this: first, that it is necessary to adapt communication about the environmental crisis so as not to cause hopelessness and immobility in people, second, considerate an ethic of care as an intrinsic and fundamental factor in our existence; third, to understand that there is no division between nature and human world, so that care is interrelated with different species.
