Abstract

This paper presents an interview with the artist Naomi Rincón Gallardo (1979-) where she speaks about her “Trilogy of the caves” (2017-2019), a cycle of three videos and performance that address racialized women’s stories of resistance against the dispossession of their bodies and land. Taking the concepts of body and voice as axes for the conversation, the artist shares her visions on polyvocality, non normative subjects, her working methodology and the spaces for resistance that the arts and queer perspectives provide.
