Abstract

The notion of love is made of numerous elements. One of these and in a relevant way is discourse, which is at the same time, a conductor and the expression of concepts and subjective values that display a complex construction full of significance resulting in something we can consider as “passionate love”, which severely defines the subject’s affective bonds, many times imbuing them with pain and even violence. I propose a review of this notion of love at the light of two relevant elements in our society: music and violence against women, not only as separate spheres but also as a destination of a complex way of thinking love in our culture.
