Abstract

This article deals with the thesis of that in our country we are getting close to the maturation of a modern political consciousness that assumes the democratization as an urgent necessity. The longing for justice and freedom that young students championen in 1968 now have conditions of possibility to perform.
The historical context for understanding our present inevitably makes us think in the year of 1968 as the starting point of a long struggle of broad sectors of civil society, trade unions and many rural and urban social movements. It also represents the presence of a political culture of Mexican society that was struggling to defend rights and promote libertarian in the last 50 years.
