Abstract

Flavours, just like cities, generate us indelible feelings that reveal the state of the soul and evoke the past. Probably because of been inside the daily practices, people seek to spin an act and another one, a flavour with another one, a recollection with another one, in order to go back into moments, into instantaneous of daily life. This can be possible, simply trough a smell, a sound or a flavour. Because trough food, memories connect with daily acts, with acts of recalling persons, objects and dreams that have been separated in a spatial temporality. By doing so, flavours seemed to erase geographical distances with me identify them into regional meals. Cooking and eating are daily acts, that’s the important place they occupy.
