Previniendo la transmisión del VIH/sida entre jóvenes en escuelas medias de la ciudad de Junín

Abstract

Preventing The Transmission of HIV/AIDS Among Students Of Junior And Senior High Schools Of The City Of Junin. This health promotion project trained high school teachers about HIV/AIDS in a series of participatory workshops. The teachers then worked with youth leaders in local schools to create health promotion activities and exhibitions to engage other youth in the schools. Activities included: the creation and design of graphic material such as: school newspaper, posters, comics, leaflets, etc. In addition, youth created interactive activities such as plays, broadcasts, songs, etc. These activities were then introduced to the community at large. We found that the project had an impact on youth, adults, institutions and the aims of the health promotion project.
