Abstract

This article proposes a reflection on the need to examine the way in which care is organized. The arrival of Covid-19 made visible the unequal distribution of tasks that includes care; in the pandemic, the burden was on women; what’s more; an absent State was evident in terms of the existence of public policies aimed at generating actions that not only redistribute tasks, but also revalue the sense of care; to reflect on a culture characterized by the sexual division of labor, in which men participate minimally in care work; This forces us to rethink the public and the private, which seem to be complementary rather than dichotomous and their division is due to an arbitrariness developed over time that no longer seems to be sustained today.
