Abstract

This article comprehends a quantitative user comment analysis of Facebook video’s, based on twelve videos related to the global protest #UnVioladorEnTuCamino by the Chilean collective Las Tesis, published at the end of 2019. The purpose of this study is to know what kind of topics and discussions come around the most recent global mobilization through the feminist hymn “El violador eres tú” which makes gender violence and sexual harassment visible. It also reflects theorically about the hashtag femi nism and networked feminism to explore on the role played by sociodigital networks in the pursuit for the visibility of the demands by these feminist collectives around the world, from a Latin American perspective. The main findings show a strong presence of misogynist comments as a result of the structures, codes and patriarchal discourses that are still sustained and passed on through the Internet.
