Abstract

Politics is often conceived as a subsystem within society where political parties, organized under well-defined structures, fight for power and for its management. Nevertheless, different authors stress other ways of understanding politics by accentuating its surplus character, i.e., the practice of interrogation of non-professional subjects about what is common to all through dissenting actions. Based on this second point of view, the following article seeks to build an analytical reflection on the experience of a feminist collective integrated by artists who make use of public space as a means of expression, sustaining that aesthetics is a mode of social configuration whose rupture with forms of space organization make political actions emerge.
