This article examines the emergence of the People as a political subject through the interrelation between the body dimension and language. This approach, in turn, implies some thoughts on the institution of public space as a space for a political performance. For this purpose, I set a possible dialogue between Jacques Rancière and Judith Butler. Subsequently, we will find that the public space –in a political direction– establishes from the collapse of the boundaries between the public and private, this allows us to think about the emergence of the People as a political subject.
