Abstract

In this article I seek to approach to the modes of violence´s persistence in the subjective space by focusing on a specific (and significant) set of narrative recurrences that emerge in the present evocation of the limit experience. I refer, in particular, to “terror” and “guilt” as constructions of meaning that appear, repeatedly, in the words of survivors. Based on the analysis of in-depth interviews, I reflect on these emergencies in their knotting with the persistences, sometimes paralyzing, of violence in the presente time.
