Abstract

The body is one of the most important concepts in the novel Farabeuf (1965) by Salvador Elizondo, so as its relation with writing, as many literary critics have noticed. In this text I will approach that topic as a limit experience, understanding text as a productivity, such as Roland Barthes has define it, according to Julia Kristeva’s conception; and following up Jean-Luc Nancy’s concept of Corpus (1992). I attempt to create a dialogue between Elizondo’s novel and Nancy’s theories so as to could understand the notion of text-body as an event, as potency.
