Problematizando el concepto de mediación en el trabajo psíquico en grupos, instituciones, comunidades

Abstract

Through questioning the word “mediation” and its polysemic use, I address two important themes relating to the daily tasks we undertake in university classrooms, in our research and in our communities with all the seriousproblems we are confronted with. In this paper, I emphasize intermediary processes in groups and institutions through a theoretical and practical review –with two vignettes on work in institutional groups– together with an account of some of the tragic social events that are currently overwhelming us, through theoretical studies on community and archival documents (newspapers, magazines, internet). However this second theme will require further discussion in another paper in the near future.
