Abstract

The paper is intended to examine certain key-concepts in the way of acceding to the topic of the body, from the point of view of the interior experience (Georges Bataille) of the sexed subject. The discussion focuses on esthetics issued from the field of lacanian psychoanalysis, called also “esthetics of the void”, while integrating also some essential contributions from philosophy and from history of arts. In a second moment, these concepts are employed to read some images produced in outsider-art (Princeton Museum, Heidelberg), reading that allows us to understand the interior experience of the body as a searching for the secret number which body is in itself.
