In this article we analyze, from the political and philosophical anthropology, the place that the culture of social movements in the last decades has had within the concept of community. We challenge the assimilation in political culture inspired from nationalism and Christianity, of community and identity. From this debate, one derives the possibility of relating oneself with one’s own institution, assuming that one is the origin of society’s otherness. Finally, we realize the irreconcilable relation that exists between the permanence in the identity and autonomy.
