Abstract

The domestic violence constitutes one of the most frequent behaviors within the field of the violence. It is a form of relation of abuse between those who maintain an affective bond, where the dominant guidelines of interaction sustain in a set of attitudes and recurrent, intentional behaviors, of increasing intensity, directed to dominate, to put under, and to control by means of the use of the physical, verbal, psicoemocional or sexual violence between spouses or partners. Before this exercise of the violence the fear emerges as one from the emotional forms of answer. The fear is a vital feeling of threat, caused by the perception of a danger, real or assumption, present or future. In the domestic violent relations, the fear presents certain characteristics and psychosocial functions crossed by gender premises and personal histories, that trigger diverse forms of behaviors that are described in this work.
