Abstract

Daniel Paul Schreber’s case is the starting point which Freud used to develop his narcissistic personality study. This writing allowed the authors to essay a different approach to it, from the Junguian analytical Psychology, which emphasizes the psychic balance process of the mind, as a different approach to the mental diseases. In the Imperial Judge Schreber’s psychological symptoms were applied the following Junguian concepts: Psychological types, person, individuation process and unilateralization in order to develop another possible interpretation in this paradigmatic case.
