Abstract

Children participation is a process that is built in every day life by actively being in contact with the reality that characterizes diverse infancies. It is common to find open resistance from adults who are not familiarized with this process as they don’t recognize the value of children voices and the capacity to transform reality in order to generate actions that may entitle children to full rights. In this investigation we present the results of a working experience with groups of boys, girls and youngsters with the intention of creating spaces of children participation in three communities in the state of Tlaxcala and one in Mexico City. We used a working tool named: Children participation manual to promote childhood rights. The discussion its about the challenges faced to implement the methodologies and the obstacles to overcome in the different communities.
