Abstract

This paper starts out from the supposition that the psychic source of hate is an ever-present ingredient in the expressions and manifestations of an individual and collective inability for self-development in a way that is different to that which, in order to achieve said development, denies the existence of the other as such. It also approaches the manifestations of said source by means of a real hate towards the other and the hate that the psyche experiences of itself as hate of the other. It ends with an analysis of the resource of concealing the otherness, which the psychic source of hate finds in the closure as a historically instituted sense; a closure that lies within the social imaginary meaning that is the foundation of heteronomous society.
