Abstract

An infancy conception that starts recognizing the infant rights must transform de vision of child as object to one that recognizes them as social subjects. Assume this perspective also imply modify the idea of childhood as if it were a development stage that depend on the category of adult, as if it were a static period, origin and destiny of all the process. To think in childhood as a social subject we need other conception of human development that allows us to “resignifie” the categories of childhood and adult reciprocally. Many of the definition of childhood are “adult centrist” because identify his stage as if it were a preparation for adult life. How go far away of this? How think in infancy as a moment of human development defines itself from its own characteristics and not only as a “pre”? How to think in childhood with the capacity to participate in an autonomy form. Is this possible? I do not want to answer these questions, but mention them. I just want to present a vision of human development that allows us to “resignifie” the relation between adult and child. This is a historic, social and cultural vision of human development that includes the different domains: psychogenetic, philogenetic and sociogenetic.
