Abstract

In this article I outline some aspects that determined that the study of the childhood was characterized, in the psychological speech, for an overflow of the cultural and social circumstances that the childhood reflected. I approach, in first instance, to the speeches pronounced in Latinamerican Congress “del Niño”, whose idea of the childhood is linked with the social conditions that characterized to the childhood during the XX century. I discuss the division that at the beginning of last century has been between culture and childhood, topics that approached in a separate way the psychology and the anthropology, as well as questions that have arisen in the intent to incorporate both aspects at the end of the century.
