Abstract

The design and implementation of methods for work in the community are discussed, taking into account ethical and political factors and the professional role in careful and respectful actions, aimed at aiding existing social process and projects. Self administration and empowerment of the community is the means to autonomy as the end result sought. Tools for the democratic operation of social process in the community are offered in order to strengthen available resources. The clarification of the community project makes it possible to steer it into a well defined course, through work that integrates an analysis of the political project and institutional logic in which the professional worker is inscribed, in order to better help forward the objectives of the community.
