Abstract

The present text seeks to explore the consequences of the convergence, in Benjamin's thought, of his theological thesis, the thesis of the philosophy of history and his conception of language into the comprehension of the nature of power and the use of violence and also, analyzing Benjamin's peculiar notions such as happiness, fear, and redemption articulated into the notion of dialectic at a standstill; this work seeks to evince the features of anew understanding of history as a criticism of historiography and as the foundation of a radical alternative political action, the outcome of wich should revoke the social violence inherent in the force of law, and draw the social action towards the expectation of a redeeming and purifying violence.
