Una aproximación al estudio del amor desdichado desde la perspectiva de El bolero

Abstract

This work is the part of a research called "The bolero and sentimental education in Mexico." Through the analysis of 255 boleros the author shows how the separation of the lovers has been socially constructed. From her point of view, the bolero is a catalogue of figures and expressions that the lover can used in the different situations within which he/she is involved some of the figures of the bolero analyzed be the author are the lament, the waiting and weeping as expressions of the lover feelings, exhortation, supplication and threat are different means of appeal from the lover to the beloved and regarding finally there are another figures in the form of the narrative. An example of the last kind of boleros are those the process of degradation involved when the lover loses the beloved.
