Abstract

The contemporary intimacy of sexuality is at a crossroads. The distinction between the intimate and the external symbolic system has produced new spaces of reproduction subject’s sexual dynamics. The French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan, established a so precise neologism to understand the subject’s intimate space submitted to its real and symbolic exteriority: the extimacy. This paper seeks to articulate the Lacanian concept of extimacy with the difference between exteriority and intimacy within the dynamics of contemporary sexuality. These places will make us specify the dislocation of intimacy in the contemporary world, establishing the path of discursive formalization to the radicality across to the real register order. These elements going to be elucidated from the over-exposure of privacy and its value as a commercial exchange.
