Abstract

Six urban places, where sexual intercourse is simulated or taking place, has been selected as a pretext: dark room, happy wagon, table dance, hot show, male who have sex with others males and cybersex, as to think about the relation between the public and the private spheres. What is the distance between them? What are their nearness and overlapping? In what terms private refers to “selfhood” and to “I”-identity, meanwhile public refers to “otherness”? Public and private are they the same or two different things? Is the asymmetrical regard among both spheres the Master regard? The changing intercourses between public and private contents, gender and sexualities are indicators of the otherness blurred, and in this measure, of identity.
